Brisbane: Day 12

It was Monday when we had to send the boyfriend’s brother to the Brisbane International Airport. He will be flying to New Caledonia, where he is currently working at. We had made our plan to go Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) after dropping him at the airport. DFO is just next to the airport, but not a walking distance destination.

There are a lot of shopping outlets at DFO and at DFO, you can get BIG BRANDS, BIG BARGAINS and BIG SAVINGS! Best of all, there are SALES everywhere now :D However, my only mission here is to buy A perfume. Hafta control my spending, okay?

IMG_0385

Strolling around after a not-so-nice breakfast with the boyfriend.

IMG_0375The boyfriend was so tempted to buy a top in GIORDANO. We came back here again just before we left DFO after he decided to purchase it but to his horror, there is no size for him lol

IMG_0376

FILA Outlet: Tempted to buy a pair running shoes but I fought back! 50%-70% weii!

IMG_0383

BOHEMIA: SALE SALE SALE!

IMG_0387 No matter how cheap it is, I never failed to remember my mission.

IMG_0388

Country Road Warehouse

IMG_0377

The fight ain’t easy omg

IMG_0386

See how I avoid entering the shop? wtf

IMG_0389

Wait, CHELSEA?

And guess what? Mission accomplished! I did not buy any single clothing but perfume :D

IMG_0393

Cosmetics Fragrance Direct. No worries. The stocks are genuine :)

IMG_0398

Well, not a perfume but perfumes. Conclusion, mission failed!

p.s.: Nothing happened during my stay in Brisbane Day 11. I stayed at home the whole day :D

p.s.s.: A kid was lost in DFO and the boyfriend and I managed to solve the The Lost Kid case lol I love the part when the kid and his father ran towards and hugged each other — which you don’t really see back in Malaysia where most parents would scold they kids for running on their own –_-

Brisbane: Day 10

Heard of Mt Coot-tha (pronounced Mount Cootha) in Brisbane? How about Lookout Point in Kuala Lumpur? If yes, Mt Coot-tha is just like our Lookout Point, has a breathtaking panoramic views of Brisbane city.

That Saturday, we asked Summer out for dinner and we planned to have a nice dinner at a nice restaurant at Mt Coot-tha. However, it was close for private function wtf

IMG_0323

IMG_0316

IMG_0322

Anyways, I did not fail to capture the nightview of Brisbane’s city . They don’t come out bad, do they?

Since the restaurant next to our initial restaurant does not worth the spending, we decided to leave the place and headed to a restaurant recommended by the boyfriend’s friend (where Summer had her first meal when she landed Brisbane).

IMG_0341

La Dolce Vita

Since we were sitting at a not so strategic place, I could not take pictures of its interior but food? Of course!

IMG_0348 Our starter — Pizza Bianca

IMG_0349 My main dish — Capelli D’Angelo and I really love it (and definitely miss it)

IMG_0350 Summer’s — Spaghetti Alla Marinara

IMG_0351

The beau’s — Ravioloni Di Bufala

Poor boy. He did not know it come out this way. It was out of our expectations as well. We thought it is something wayy better than this lol It was very creamy and cheesy — which the boy dislikes the most xD

Brisbane: Day 09

We planned to go to Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) and picked the brother up at Brisbane International after. However, we decided to take a day off instead :D

It was around 4.30PM when we had to leave the house to the airport to pick the brother up.

IMG_0245There was filming going on in the neighborhood. I do not recognise the celebrities here so I did not go over and try to take pictures with the celebrities. Imagine I asked a staff to take picture with me instead of the real celebrities –_-

IMG_0251 On our way to the airport (and since there was a slight traffic jam going on), I managed to capture this beautiful sight. I love that ray of lights. They are just so beautiful to look at. This was the best shot that I can get and it was not easy for me to take that picture, okay? There were trucks and stupid fences and lamp posts blocking my way wtf

IMG_0284

After we picked the brother up, we went ahead with our plan we made in the previous week: joining the brother and the girlfriend at Hillsong Church.

IMG_0293 Never did I expect that these people are really amazing and I had a great time. I am getting to like this church and will definitely join them as a volunteer if I were to study or stay in Brisbane :S Oh, the boyfriend signed up with them to be a volunteer. Guess he is going to be busier and has more friends to hang out with :) Which is a good thing. I prefer him to keep himself busy.

IMG_0297

Plus, it ain’t a bad idea for him to join this Church. The pastors were amazing and we learn a lot from his talk! Gosh! I almost walked away from God (as in not becoming a devout Catholic) but thanks to this session, I decided to go back to God’s arms :)

I know He will protect, guide and lead me. Even if He does not, I will still serve and have faith in Him and only Him.

IMG_0303

They were still filming. It was almost midnight by the time we were back home (from Hillsong Church and dinner after). I guess celebrities do not have an easygoing life after all, huh?

Gold Coast: Day 08

We woke up around 8.30AM as we had to check out by 10AM. It was very windy that morning — cold. However, we still saw people walking around with short-sleeves and shorts! (Geng)

IMG_0068

Since Big Breakfast was really expensive, we went for Budget Breakfast at Primo Caffe—a toast, tomato, bacon, an egg with a complementary coffee or tea.

We dropped by Coles to get Strepsils for the beau before we headed to QDeck with the help of Ms. G (GPS fyi).

IMG_0074

It is definitely a MUST to go when you are in Gold Coast.

IMG_0097You would not want to miss this spectacular 360 degree view of the entire Gold Coast on the 77th floor at the Observation Deck.

IMG_0099

Qdeck is not something like our Kuala Lumpur Tower — Gold Coast Tower. It is actually an apartment! Plus, you can hold a private function in its function room.

IMG_0101

Imagine having this magnificent view right before you when you woke up (if you are one of Qdeck’s residents) or having to have a birthday party or wedding party, looking over the splendid night view of Gold Coast.

IMG_0162 Ashley! Joyce! Can see me kah? xD

Next was Habour Town, which is situated a few kilometers away from Surfers Paradise.

IMG_0174

IMG_0177IMG_0186IMG_0187IMG_0176

IMG_0192

Like the pictures described, the place is like a heaven to me — sales are everywhere lol

I bought two tops for my dad (Father’s Day) and never did I fail to get at least a top for myself –_- How lar save money like that?

IMG_0182

IMG_0180

IMG_0198

IMG_0184 IMG_0191  Basically, this is how Habour Town appear like :D

IMG_0195Bought strawberries and vegetables, and had sushis after before we left. We were going to cook for dinner at home tonight!

The main chef was the beau — with a simple yet taste okay-lar-acceptable-lar dinner.

IMG_0217 Our overcooked vegetables

IMG_0218 These were really nice — eggs and honey ham

IMG_0219

Our main dish — Mee Goreng lol

The beau had been driving around a lot lately (while I fell asleep in the car wtf) and was worn out. Therefore, there is no special activity for the next day other than joining Hillsong Church with his brother and the girlfriend :P

Gold Coast: Day 07

Was the day that we went to Gold Coast :D We were supposed to wake up at 10AM but typical us, we slacked and therefore, was behind the schedule.

DSCN6888

On the way to Gold Coast.

DSCN6884 with the help of Ms G

It took us around 45 minutes to reach our destination — (see that?) 66.6km

DSCN6890

Reaching the CBD of Gold Coast (Don’t you just love the sky?)

DSCN6895

A wharf was spotted by the roadside

Checked in and we raided the city after.

Gold Coast’s Central Business District

DSCN6927

Finally we’re here — Surfers Paradise!

Just click on ‘view full album’ for more pictures that were taken at the paradise.

Though it’s winter, there still were surfers around the paradise but definitely, I would not even want to touch the water. Damn windy and cold okay?

DSCN6917

I was trying to be strong to not wearing a jacket (plus, it does look weird to wear a jacket and walk along the beach kan?). Nevertheless, I gave up. I rather look weird than catching a cold (and being a H1N1 suspect and quarantined for one week when I am back to Malaysia)

DSCN6919 On a note, it ain’t easy to walk on this beach. You feel that you had walked quite a distance but in fact, you had not lol

Done with the beach, we walked on the streets after.

DSCN6924

You will definitely see numerous of greedy seagulls. They actually followed that lady in black for food (!!!). No food no follow lol

DSCN6929 The next Little Mermaid, perhaps?

Pizzas as our late lunch (or early dinner) and we had fun feeding the seagulls nearby. Battle of survival (fight for food) occurred among them and there was one which was feared most lol

DSCN6932

Clockwise: Supreme, Hawaiian Tuna, Magherita, Hawaiian Chicken

I bought chocolates worth AUD 50 at Darrell Lee and finally, I got myself a new camera! <3 the boyfriend

DSCN6943

I am not sure whether it is a glamour DC but it does a fantastic job and I am more than satisfied with the outcome :)

It was then we decided to go out for dinner (initially I thought the pizzas were supposed to be our dinner lol).

IMG_0015

IMG_0017IMG_0030 Gold Coast’s CBD night view

Since the boyfriend is not familiar with Gold Coast plus, we saw a Japanese and Korean restaurants nearby, we entered a restaurant without much contemplation.

IMG_0026 Misou Ramen

Surprisingly, I finished the whole bowl of ramen (!!!) even though I was not that hungry at all! I guess I am beginning to able to take in the Australia’s food portion omg!

Decided to stroll around the streets when we came across to this ice-cream shop

IMG_0027 Ice Europa

IMG_0028Clockwise: Strawberry, forgotwhatflavoritwas, Ferro Roche, Chocolate Mint

IMG_0029 While indulging this sinful treat, we were watching a Live football match between Australia and Japan.

Dropped by Condom Kingdom where the boyfriend was spotted in action.

P170609_21.10

Dropped by Priceline where I got to do some window shopping — well, not exactly a window shopping as I bought a mascara which was on sale —

the boyfriend (again) was spotted in action lol

IMG_0043

And before we went back to our room, me requested the boyfriend to do something extraordinary (and yet, memorable) on the streets of Gold Coast :P
