We were back in Penang longer than usual.

Why?

It was Deepavali!

But first, let’s have a triple date.

We met up with 2 lovely couples for dinner and then, ended it with frozen yoghurt. It was a great catch up session and am really happy for all of them because of two things.

One, a couple will upgrade soon to be parents.
Two, a friend is finally in a relationship and he is happy.

Second, I had my be-early birthday celebration with my favourite people in Penang. Well, one of them was sick so, was unable to join though. We had our dinner buffet at G Hotel and went to visit the sick friend after.

It was my second Deepavali open house as a host. As usual, we had two sessions for our invited guests – lunch and dinner. We had delicious food and great friends to hang out with in that one day.

In that same month, another good friend of mine got married. She had her wedding the day before my birthday. We have known each other for more than 10 years so, I am definitely happy for her that she found someone that she can live with.

What’s better than celebrating your birthday with your family? I was not able to celebrate it last year with them as I was still in Taiwan. It felt even better to have Deanne with us.

Last but not least, we had a furry guest that stayed with us for a week. It felt good to have someone waiting for your return though I did feel bad for leaving him alone at home during daytime. Well, we had to go to work though. However, he did make a good friend with the furry neighbour. Up until today, the furry neighbour will still drop by our door to check if the furry guest is still around.

Yeah, we miss him too, buddy.

October 2018

It had been an eventful month too.

During the early of the month, I had company’s teambuilding in Penang. It was lovely to be able to spend the weekend with fun people. We had a great time especially by ending the trip at ESCAPE Park. It was my second time but the very first time to try out a lot of rides at the park. Also, the very first time to try out their waterpark.

Nearing the end of the month, I made a trip to Singapore with my mom to attend my baby brother’s graduation. So proud of him to be able to get his Degree while working. We considered it a family trip since it had been a long time since we had one together. I think the last vacation we had together was also Singapore. Guess what? We are going to have another big family trip in November 2019. Look forward to my blog entries on it.

I went back to Sibu end of the month.

Why?

To attend a good friend’s wedding dinner. We had been in the same class since Form 1 up to Form 5 and guess what?

He had been sitting close to me for 2 consecutive years. In front of me when we were in Form 2 and next to me when we were in Form 3. He was my ‘sifu’ in some of the games that I played back then – Starcraft, Gunbound and DOTA. Yeah, I remember he brought me along to join 7 of them to play DOTA. In the group, he’s always the one looking out for me. Happy for him to marry this sweet girl whom I happened to know as well – my big brother’s course mate in his university days.

Such a small world.

September 2018

…had been a wonderful month.

We were back in Penang and had celebrated his be-early birthday with our group of favourite friends. We had steamboat and followed by some desserts in a café.

In the same month, my baby brother had upgraded his girlfriend and vice versa. It was another joyful event for our family. Another new member is joining us officially.

So what did we do to end our September?
