Nic’s Twenty Six!

It was my big brother’s twenty sixth birthday early of August. The ten of us prepared a surprise for him – a jersey with his nick and his birthday month number. Glad that he love it.

On his birthday night itself, we had dinner at Seoul Korean at Taman Desa for BBQ. Their side dishes were awesome – bottomless with no extra charge at all.

Similarly to Teppanyaki, they have someone to do the BBQ work for you. You just have to sit back, relax and enjoy your meal. The meats are all well marinated so, you will definitely not be disappointed.

As for The Awesome Dish, named by a friend of mine, do order beef instead of chicken. And yeah, just as shown below, two thumbs up, this awesome dish is really awesome. Will definitely go back for its beef.

For all these awesome deal, with four people sharing the bill, it only cost less than RM40 and trust me, it is really filling and fulfilling. You will be more than satisfied.

Lovely Sunday in July!

It is almost the end of August already and I had been procrastinating to update my blog. It was one of the Sundays in July where I spent the whole day with my brother and his girlfriend.

That morning, we went to Mid Valley for Maybank’s Treats Fair. We were there for a few purposes. One, to apply credit cards. Two, to personalise our debit cards. Three, to meet The Lau’s big brother.

IMG_3424

I thought I would not be able to personalise my debit card since I did not bring mine. I asked a few of the responsible staff and they told me no-can-do-miss. That was really unfortunate. However, when we were waiting for my brother’s turn, the lady in charge told me that it was doable. Luck was on my side, hurray! And there, I have Gaara on my debit card.

Later that evening, we left to The Curve to meet our cousin brother at Sakae Sushi for dinner. He would be leaving for India for his 4-month training (well, obviously he is there already). I would definitely asked him on his training when we meet during Chinese New Year next year. We stay just next door after all. After dinner, walked around The Curve and bought curry puffs at IKEA before we bid farewell.

As far as I could remember, July had been a fruitful month for me. I had been going out almost every weekend, mostly with my brother. I will definitely miss this especially now that I am in Penang already. I wonder how are my weekends going to be here. I hope it is as fruitful as I had back in Kuala Lumpur; spent quality time with family and friends.

Food Review: Levain Boulangerie Patisserie Revisited!

I revisited Levain Boulangerie Patisserie, this time with my perfect companion. After work, we went to have our breakfast at Pertama Restaurant – for kampua and bian nvk. Looking we had a bit of time, I decided to bring him to Levain Boulangerie Patisserie as promised last time.

IMG_3268

As usual, the place is so crowded and people non-stop coming in and now. If I had my car now, I would have come to place real often. It is really a nice place to chillax.

IMG_3264

And their chocolates look so delicious. I was so tempted to buy them but nah, I had my cool. I know I would regret it if I had bought them.

IMG_3267

The staff are really friendly. No one stops anyone from taking photography inside, even if you are taking the photo of their menu with prices stated.

IMG_3262

We bought five pieces of macarons. Though different flavour, they have one thing in common and that’s very sweet! For those who like sweet snacks, you might like them. In my case, one piece would be more than enough for me.

IMG_3269

Also, finally I had tried their fehmes mushroom soup – Creamy Mushroom Soup Chicken. It is only available after 11AM. Trust me, this soup is very different from what we commonly had; be it in Pizza Hut or those Vono’s and Campbell’s. This is really filling and guess what? I could not finish them. I could if I had not taken any food earlier.

IMG_3263

Last but not least, its Tiramisu Chocolate. It is always sold out, if you are unfortunate. However, the boyfriend was lucky enough. Like me, he is a big fan of Tiramisu. I did not get to have it during my first visit with Evil and also my third visit with Evil, again. Unlike the mushroom soup, I could finish this even without the boyfriend. It is really delicious and must a try.

Therefore, yes, I will want to go back there again to have its Tiramisu Chocolate!

Lovely Sunday with Evil!

A friend of mine has been in Kuala Lumpur for quite some time already. Though we are staying super close to each other, we have not even met once! However, finally we met!

Since we come from the same hometown, I brought her to Pertama Restaurant in Pandan Jaya to have kampua and bian nvk. And since she did not want to go home that soon, we went to Tesco together and then Levain Boulangerie Patisserie after.

It was my first experience at Levain and it is really beautiful inside. The staff are very friendly and customers non-stop coming in. Since their macarons are quite famous, and guess what? They have durian flavour macarons! Therefore, we decided to give it a try.

IMG_3185

That is our LeDurian Macaroons and Beryl's Chocolate Truffle Cake. However, the macaron is too sweet so, I did not really like it. Anyhow, other than that, we really had fun catching up and definitely up for the next meet!

Food Review: Moo Cow Frozen Yogurt

Moo Cow offers their customers to indulge fat free yogurt without all the guilt that normally comes with normal yogurt. This beats Tutti Frutti – sources from someone close to me. I had never tried it before so, one fine Sunday, my brother brought me to Plaza Tamas to have some fro-yo.

Note, they have a franchise inside The Gardens mall, same floor as Sushi Zanmai. The newly opened franchise is at Wangsa Walk Mall.

IMG_3095

Since it was my first experience, I tried the original fro-yo with almond crust as my toppings. It costs RM9.90 for your chosen fro-yo flavour with one free topping. Additional RM1.00 for an additional topping. And trust me, it is really filling. The taste was really awesome and every month, they have new flavours. More awesome, right? For me, the sweetness is just nice and I do not get sick of it; if were to have a second serving.

And we did go for second round.

IMG_3101

Actually we chose Plaza Tamas because my brother and his girlfriend wanted to get different colours for the Moo shirts. They had already been to the one at The Gardens but were told that there are more choices at Plaza Tamas so, there we were!

We were really crazy over these shirts. We basically wanted to get all the colours for their shirts, of course the nice ones. Unfortunately, it was not as claimed. We were told differently that there are more choices at The Gardens.

So guess what?

We went to The Gardens!

There were not much nicer colours available at The Gardens. However, the aunty who is in charge of Moo’s clothing line told us that we could make a reservation! Awesome, right? One of the staff thought we are having a themed party since we requested for loads of Moo shirts!

We love Moo Cow

I had my second fro-yo experience when the boyfriend was here for Liverpool FC’s Asia Tour match in Malaysia. Even the boyfriend who is not a fan of sweet dessert find this fro-yo really nice. I guess he fell in love with it too. I do hope they will have a franchise opening in Penang too. Else I would be craving for Moo Moo!
