China Vacation – Day Four

Around 0730 on 21st April, we left the hotel. Our first stop was Lao Shan. There was nothing much to see here other than hills and sea.

DSCN5383Next was TaiQing Gong which is just nearby.

Without any delay, we headed to The Beer Factory of Qingdao after lunch.

DSCN5426DSCN5421 This factory has its 100 years of history.

The God of Wine

DSCN5429Had a glass of ‘raw’ beer and a packet of beer peanuts as our souvenir.

DSCN5432This room is very interesting. You felt as if you were drunk when you were inside.

DSCN5433We had free flow of beer at the factory’s Beer Bar before we left. May, I’m sure you will love this place lol

Xiao Yu Shan next. This is where I met a group of Korean sailors who came over to borrow a pen from me. Well, I could hardly understand but I heard the word ‘pen’ and one of them was pointing at it lol

I walked up to this tower and man, magnificent view awaited me; the entire view of Qingdao :)

Later,we visited The Germany Gabenor’s Castle which was built around 100 years ago.

After we left the place, we had a boat ride for around 10-15 minutes at Friend Yatch (that’s the only name that I could find though it sounds weird).

DSCN5484DSCN5492That’s ZhanQiao Pier. It was so crowded so, a majority decided not to walk across that bridge to reach the other end. In my case, my feet started to ache so much due to the coldness. It felt as if my feet was frozen :(

Next station was Green Islet Park (Xiao Qingdao). Nothing much to see here.

DSCN5499 DSCN5500 DSCN5501It used to have a smaller type of train here and now they no longer using it anymore.

Before we went to have our dinner, we had a short tour at BaDa Guan Scenic Spot. Well, we could not enter the place. It was being strictly guarded as the people staying there are the members of the government bodies or something like that.

Lunch and dinner today were fine with me but not to the oldies. You see, these women can complain about everything. Few days ago, they complained about food being salty. Today they complained about the hotel’s breakfast buffet as well as the hotel’s service. The last complaint they made at the end of the day was the dinner was too spicy. Sighh..

Lesson #1: It is still best to find somebody around your age to travel together lol
