China Vacation – Day Five

There was not much of a trip on 22nd April as there was another road trip to another place, Yantai, which would be a 3.5-hour ride. However, the tour guide brought us to a shop, where he could claim for commission with any purchases made within his tour group, us. I bought a set of knives for my mother as a Mother’s Day gift.

We reached Yantai in time for lunch.

DSCN5528 Yeah, we had our lunch here

After lunch, our next stop was Penglai Pavilion (PengLai Ge). Below are the pictures that were taken by me with my sucky Nikon camera lol

The walk began here

DSCN5544 There is a story behind about this stone but I forgot what it is already lol

DSCN5548 Wishes were written on red ribbons and then tied onto these trees

DSCN5556 I walked up this building with a few senior citizens and yeah, it was a right decision. Why? The landscape was magnificent :)

Puzhao Tower also called the Lightning Tower was first used for navigation at night. Was rebuilt in 1958 and together with Binn Tower (not sure where it is located), it makes up the characteristic symbol of Penglai Fairyland.

Below are the shots taken from the location of this tower.

And we walked further..

We went to another shop where I bought three sets of pajama for my brothers and myself. I burnt a very big hole in my pocket today but I spent them wisely :)

Before we went to have our dinner, we dropped by our tour guide’s place! It is new to all of us lol I am not sure if this tour guide is saying the truth or he is really quite, well, rich? He said he has 4 apartments and this is just one of it, where his mom stays.

DSCN5597We came to China for many times but this is our first time to visit our tour guide’s house! --- one of the senior citizens.

DSCN5599 Oh, we had another interesting hotel to stay. The room’s bathroom has no door but shower and toilet are separated (by a glass). However, there is a sliding door but as you can see, that door is transparent! lol Imagine one is doing business in toilet while the other one is showering and another one brushing teeth at the basin lol

However, today was not my day. During dinner, I sat next to this lady who complained the most. I find her very very annoying. You see, it is rare to find someone who successful entered into my ‘Annoying List’. She is labeled ‘very’ annoying some more. Higher ‘rank’, huh?

I know I complained a lot, here lol
