Third day in Taipei was mostly about food.
That morning, we went to Ay-Chung Flour-Rice Noodle as our first stop. It was really close to where we stayed. Well, it wasn’t really worth the hype but worth the try so, don’t put high expectation for it.
Next, we went to Fong Da Coffee. It was well known being around for more than 50 years. Since the husband is a coffee addict, we had a break here before we went to Mala Hot Pot for our brunch. I ordered hot chocolate for myself and it was great too.
Our main highlight for the day was Mala Hot Pot. There are a few levels of spiciness. I definitely went for non-spicy soup. As for the husband, well, he asked for Level 2. We only had 2 hours to feast and since they have Haagen-Dazs ice-cream, we timed ourselves to only eat for 1 hour and the remaining hour to enjoy the ice-cream.
After we filled our stomach, we continued our sightseeing mission. First to Maokong. We took the gondola up the hill. It was very much like Penang Hill. As it was raining, we did not spend much time there and decided to head back to Taipei.
Next was Taipei 101. We wanted to enjoy the night view. However, the staff told us that it was really foggy and we would not have a great view and in turn, wasted the tickets. Hence, we took his advice and decided to come back again when the sky is clear..
