Taiwan: Day 8 (Taipei)

It was a simple day in Taipei.

We had our breakfast at Ximen Mango Shaved Ice. Well, they have other stuff apart from mango shaved ice. However, being the special and weird person my husband is, he ordered mango shaved ice.

We went to Taipei 101 after. The sky was clear so, we were fortunately to view the whole city with a clear view. We had another round of mango ice-cream. This city seems to be famous with mango, a lot.

Next destination was Houtong Cat Village. You can see a lot of cats roaming around this small village. My husband is a cat lover and therefore, I planned this specially for him. Unfortunate for us, it rained heavily not long after we arrived the place. Hence, we were not able to see a lot of cats on the streets.

When the rain stopped, we moved on to the next stop – Shifen. This place is famous to set the Chinese lanterns into the sky after you wrote your wishes on it.

The sky got dark really early and as most of the shops or eatery were closing, we decided to head back to Ximen to have our dinner and did last minute shopping as we would be leaving this wonderful place the next day.
