Raya In Kuala Lumpur!

I know Raya was three months ago. What to do? I was procrastinating to update my blog. Damn those bugs.

Anyhow, similarly to the previous year, I spent my Raya holiday in Kuala Lumpur. Great holiday must be spent with great people, of course!

2014-07-25 10.50.54

This time, instead of catching a flight, I followed my housemate who drove. She stays in Serdang. It was a fun journey. We talked non-stop and that was my very first to have talked to her for so long. From that conversation, I learned that she is a very cool and fun lady.

2014-07-25 20.53.34

What did I do when I reached my destination? I had a family dinner with my brother and the Lau siblings. It has been a long time since I had such meal. I mostly eat alone in Penang. Therefore, I really cherished that moment. That meal.

2014-07-26 08.42.05

The next day? Well, one of my babes had already planned out a to-do list for me. The first activity we had was Escape Room! Before we met up with the other couple, I joined the couple to have our brunch at IKEA. Swedish meatballs, oh I miss you so much! IKEA is invading Penang but that will be like 4-5 years’ time. By that time, I think I have already moved back to Kuala Lumpur.

2014-07-27 00.21.39

Remember my cyber boyfriend? Yes, I am going to just label him as my cyber boyfriend. We met up that night and supposed to hang out with a bunch of his friends but they did not make it. Therefore, it was just the two of us and the tower. Great music. Great place. And most importantly, great company. It got even better when he uploaded a video of him singing All Of Me after the night ended. There was a story behind about this song and I ain’t going detailed about it.

2014-07-27 12.38.15

What’s next? Aforementioned, my beloved babe had planned all out for me. She brought me to try this famous boat noodles. The portion for one bowl is really small that one can have 10 bowls of noodles for oneself! How many bowls did I have? I think I had 8 bowls all to myself!

2014-07-27 13.55.17

Before they sent me back home, I saw a pet shop. Since I would be meeting up with the fury monsters the next day, I decided to buy some buah tangan. They finished those in just one night. Oh, and the latest update I received was, the toy gone case. Truly fury monsters they are.

2014-07-27 17.51.02

It was a simple remaining day with my brother and the Lau siblings. That night, we decided to spend an evening at my brother’s new crib. We had take-away from McDonald’s and also watched a horror movie, The Conjuring.

2014-07-28 11.23.10

What’s next? Rock climbing! It was my very first time to try out rock climbing and I am loving it. I usually tell people that I dislike running. However, when it comes to activities like climbing or hiking, I am down for it! After rock climbing, thanks to the couple, they dropped me at Desa City Park to meet up with the fury monsters and their slave. We took a stroll at the park for a bit before we called it a day, for the fury monsters, of course. We, on the other hand, ended the day with a dinner buffet at Sunway Resort Hotel. A great way to end my Raya holiday.

2014-07-29 02.53.53

Before my housemate came and picked me up to go back to Penang, I had an enjoyable breakfast with my brother and the Lau siblings. Love that restaurant. They have delicious kolo mee there and it is really close to my brother’s new crib. Everything is awesome!

When I was still living in Kuala Lumpur, I could easily spend quality time with my brother and my close friends. Now?

Oh well.

Goodbye, SETSB!

Such a super backdated post!

Anyway, that day was my last day in Sempurna Engineering & Trading S/B where I had my very first job ever since I came back to Malaysia for good last year. Time really flies. One year had just passed like that.

P1011068

That was my working station and yes, it was really awesome that I had everything I could use unlike now..

P1011073

This was the floor that I was working. It used to be full of people until everyone had to move downstairs. Therefore, occasionally, I was alone with no one to talk to. Oh well..

P1011108

So here it is, my ex-colleagues. As you can see, majority of them are females. That man in yellow was my reporting supervisor. I am really thankful to be able to work with great and fun people like them.

Mini Farewell Party@SETSB

I know this is a super backdated post but still, I will not forget to post it up. So, back in the middle of August, I had quitted one of the most awesome jobs I have ever had. Oh well, it was my first job in Malaysia though.

P1010934

The day before my last day at work, they had a mini farewell for me. And of course I would not miss the chance to take pictures with them.

P1010946

No, there was nothing wrong with the job. Aforementioned, it was an awesome job. I got to travel to places that I had not been to; Bangkok, Jakarta and Surabaya.

P1010949

Also, it was a great working experience as I built an international network; The Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia. Personally, I felt I have achieved a few great achievements during my service. Of course, I had enjoyed my time over there. Everyone took really good care of me especially my supervisor, my employer as well as my employer’s personal assistant.

P1010959

They prepared a cake for me and guess what? They sang a birthday song for me. It was funny but still touched. I got to say a few words to all of them and while doing so, you will not believe this, I was trembling. I knew I would break down anytime if this continued.

P1010963

This is my lunch group. I mostly had my lunch with them.

P1010968

Not only they prepared a cake for me, they gave me a card and a gift. Berat hati but what to do? I still have to move on.

But no worries, Sempurna, I will always remember you.

Last Monday in Shanghai

It was finally the first day of break after a long week of working days in Shanghai. Well, not for me though since I had already resigned on Thursday and didn’t have to go to work from Friday to Sunday. However, I had to work that Monday, teaching, and that was my last day of teaching but, guess what?

I was fucking late for work!

IMG_6258

I must have been overworked from those night outs I had that I overslept. My co-worker called me and I thought it was only 6-ish. To my horror, it was already 8.33am and my class was supposed to start at 8.30am. Damnit!

IMG_6259

Fortunately I managed to make it for the second session of the class and thank goodness they did not deduct my pay like how my previous employer does. Those bastards.

IMG_6262

Anyhow, it was a good time, to spend my last day of teaching with my students. I managed to get their addresses (Dang! I almost forgot about this!) so, I could send postcards to them.

IMG_6260

Oh, did you notice those arts shown above? The girls drew them on the glass board when the boys did not pay attention in class. And as a farewell gift, I drew for them as well.

IMG_6261

I taught two classes and these students are from my second class. They are the most naughty and outta control group. The girls love to draw the glass board while the boys would play with their gadgets such as mobile phones and PSP.

IMG_6264

That night, since I would not be able to get a massive burger with a ridiculously good price in Malaysia, I decided to have one last big burger at Malone’s. I am going to miss this always especially when Mondays come.

IMG_6272

After Malone’s, I headed to my ex-housemates’ place where they had this house party for me. They talked about this the week before and I felt horrible to forget about it totally until that Sunday evening. It was a good time though the night didn’t go as well as I thought it would be. Still, it’s worth the shit especially when I could see these two great and very important people before I left Shanghai. They are really worth the shit that happened which I could not be arsed.

My Farewell@Shanghai Gecheng

It was finally my time, my time to leave this crazy place called Shanghai. Woah, don’t get me wrong. I didn’t mean this place is bad. This place is awesome if you asked me. That’s why it’s crazy. It didn’t seem so real to me as things happened real fast that it’s outta control. I knew I had to leave this place someday but, damn, the Visa issue ended it sooner.

To be honest, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I just wanted to have a good time with everyone I know in Shanghai and I thought of my last KTV in Shanghai.

IMG_6221

Jacuub whom I just met that night left the next day and Linda, one of the Dutchies I knew in Shanghai. She came to my house party once and we met once again at Szu’s when I thought she had already gone back to Netherlands.

IMG_6222

Lennart, another Dutchie with Abdel, an Egyptian who left Shanghai on the same day as I did. Though time was short, we had a good time on our last night in Shanghai at Windows Scoreboard. Hint, especially when I started the topic on how annoying people can get when eating. It was a good time *chuckles*

IMG_6228

My colleagues and my friends, Ying and Szu. We’d been through thin and thick both at work and outside of work. Billarissa, the couples from Philippines. I am sincerely happy for them when Clarissa decided to move and get a job in Shanghai.

IMG_6237

Yves, the Mexican in our team. One of the people who is really addicted to Bejeweled Blitz. You know, that social game in Facebook. Though I know him the least, I always had a good time with him. It was never not fun.

IMG_6242

Terry and Eidy. Two of the best Chinese colleagues I had back in the company. However, Terry left the company, followed by Eidy earlier before I even resigned.

IMG_6252

Lin, a new Singaporean colleague of mine after Ellwyn and Jeff, a Kiwi dude whom others matched me with. We are too good to be together. Plus, we only have one thing in common: ice-cream.

IMG_6256

We ended KTV around midnight and called it a day at the nearest McDonald’s. It was a good night though I had to sleep in early as I had to teach the next day. However, the night didn’t end here as I had two more crazy nights in Shanghai.

Lawrence’s Farewell@Windows Too & Sex Toys Party@OZNZ Bar

Though I am already back in Malaysia for like three days now, I will not forget to post my backdated posts. It was two Fridays ago when I had already stopped going to work and it was Lawrence’s farewell since he couldn’t get a tourist Visa, like me, to stay longer in Shanghai. I will share that Visa shit in the future. For now, let’s focus on the night out.

That day also marked the beginning of World Cup fever!

IMG_6113

First match was South Africa versus Mexico and see the Mexico team supporters? Semangatnya. Those green tubes with white on the tips were actually horns and trust me, they were annoying. I mean the horns, not the people.

IMG_6115

And who’s this farewell boy? Now only I realised that I didn’t take a shot with him. However, as you can see in the picture above, the head nearest to the camera is him. An American Born Taiwanese boy, if I am not mistaken.

Anyhow, he is currently in Malaysia. In Penang, to be specific.

IMG_6121

I left the farewell gathering early to attend a party that was organised by one of my friends in Shanghai. She’s currently working in this Australian New Zealand (OZNZ) Bar and was organising this interesting party, Sex Toys for the Party.

It was an educative party  for me as I learnt the uses of those sex toys. My next boyfriend will be a fortunate and lucky one, perhaps lol Anyway, guess what? I tried on a strappon and a picture was taken by one of my friends who was there that night. Would definitely get the picture from him. It was legendary!

And believe me, I definitely miss the craziness in Shanghai.

Filip’s Farewell@No.88

Filip just left Shanghai yesterday. He’s probably now in Xi’an. He’s currently doing some travelling around Asia before heading back to Holland.

He had his farewell last Friday. We went to this restaurant that serves good Xinjiang food for dinner. There’s a dancing performance in the restaurant and guess what? I was invited by the male dancer to join him on the dance floor. It was a shock of my life as I did not see it coming!

IMG_6045 After dinner, we went to No.88 and nope, I don’t like the place though. The music was alright, the crowd was good but I dislike the fact that there’s no proper good and big dance floor.

IMG_6042

Richy has bad music but you can’t deny that the dance floor is awesome. And bonus for guys, if you want to get laid, go to Richy!

IMG_6046

Unfortunately for girls, you may not like it there as there are a lot of Chinese perverts. I’d met a few and have not been there for 6 months now.

Would most probably go Richy again, at least once before I leave Shanghai.

Anyway, as usual, you will not have just one party for a day. I had to leave earlier to join my Chinese colleagues at a house party but unfortunate for me, they told me they weren’t coming when I was already at the party. However, though I was not being very sociable, at least I met two nice people; a German girl and an American dude.

Also, that was the night when I posted this entry on my blog. An interesting Friday night, indeed.

Italian Noon, Kees’ Farewell & Jeff’s Rooftop Birthday Party

Two Saturdays ago had been a busy one. Though I did not have a heavy night the night before that Saturday, I was knackered and I missed my alarm. Fortunately, Lin’s phone call woke me up. That afternoon, we had an Italian Noon at Szu’s.

She went to Italy for the past ten days and brought back loads of food. Good cheese, yum! I’m going to miss her cooking when I’m back in Malaysia, damnit!

IMG_5891

Later that evening, I had a farewell dinner to go to. It was Kee’s farewell dinner. The first time we met was 8 months ago at Windows Scoreboard when he just landed Shanghai and 8 months just passed like *fingers snapped*. In Shanghai, people come and go. I’d attended and went to numerous farewell dinners and parties for the past 10 months in Shanghai. Anyway, let’s skip the sad part and go to the happy one.

After dinner, I headed to the next party: Jeff’s Rooftop Birthday Party. Trust me, that party was so cool! I am glad that I went though as I thought I would not be able to make it.

IMG_5893

Not only we had people, drinks and music, we had fire performance by this pair of cute and hot dudes!

IMG_5903

This is the cute one..

IMG_5972 ..and that’s the hot one. Christopher’s look-alike.

IMG_6011

The police came to shut the party down though. He tried to stop the fire performance too but he was boo-ed away by loads of us. That’s epic! But yeah, the party ended before midnight and most of us except for me, went to Logo.

Question, why didn’t I join them?

I had to teach the next day.

Cheng Lit’s Farewell@Zapata’s

IMG_5689

It was great to know another Malaysia AIESEC Intern existing in Shanghai. However, she was only here for less than 2 months and she had to head back to Malaysia. What’s awesome about this girl is that she’s from Penang, a food haven! It reminded me of those trips I had to Penang. Plus, we have a few mutual friends. Small world. Though we didn’t hang out a lot here but we always had a good time together. I am glad to know her.

Eidy’s Farewell@L.Vannamei

One of our colleagues left the company last week. Yay to that! I am happy not because I hate her but because she had made the right choice to leave the place. She had been working in the company for two years and it’s time for her to continue learning and growing in the next phase.

To celebrate her resignation, she treated us to a dinner and the food was really good.

IMG_5653 Chicken curry that comes with rice..

IMG_5656..some weird eggplants..

IMG_5658

..and chicken balls, perhaps?

IMG_5662 Then we had shrimps..

IMG_5663 ..fish and frogs?

IMG_5664

A pizza..

IMG_5659 ..and a cigar-lookalike-spring rolls.

IMG_5661

Apart we had great food for the evening, we had a nice glass of Sangria. And we had already made a plan to drink more at Barbarossa since it was the ladies’ night that night. It was a good night I should say though I only had a glass or two or mixed drinks before I headed home.

If you had realised, Shanghai pampers ladies too much that we have ladies night everyday! Awesome, right?
