Not Cheap To Graduate

Think finally you are graduated and that’s it? Think about this. I don’t know about the other colleges and universities but mine is seriously a money sucker.

To think we did not have to ‘pay’ for the ceremony is totally wrong! We paid AUD95 to rent the graduation gown and that’s it. On the day of the ceremony, to pay another RM250 is optional—three on-stage pictures and one group photo. It is undeniable that everyone wants them but THREE on-stage photos? What’s the point?

IMG_1905

Oh, and that RM250 inclusive of ‘free’ studio photo shoot but if you want to buy those studio photos, you’re going to have to purchase them online. And trust me, you’re not going to believe this: AUD75 per photo and it’s AUD178 for the CD!

IMG_1907

Imagine paying RM232.50 for a photo and RM551.80 for a CD –_- Therefore, you can tell that the school is taking its every last chance to suck out your money before they let you go wtf

Us, corporate-like?

Omg! 32 questions and around 10 questions are coming out. I am so gonna struggle for this paper, man. Should study yesterday but then, thanks to period pain that I had to stay in my bed until the next day –__-

May’s question to me: Do you realise it’s the last time we are staying up and studying together?

Imagine the next time we see each other staying up, online, doing our last minute departmental reports or departmental assignments that needed to be handed in to our boss the next day.

Also, imagine those guys, sending us their questionnaires for their companies’ market research and have presentation the next day?

And also, imagine our smart friend who start to do his client’s audit report two days before the deadline. Instead ‘I’m gonna fail’, it is going to be ‘I’m gonna get fired’.

Seriously, I cannot imagine all of us in corporate-like. I prefer us being students, though I really hate exams –__-

Also, why am I blogging here when I am supposed to be memorising those beloved 32 questions? At wits end

Angelina Hao Hao Ting?

Taxation Law is over but it does not mean that I am relieved now.

I have not prepared for the next (but last) paper omfg!

You can tell that how struggling I am for this sixth (but last) semester of my degree by just looking at my isolated blog – not updated as often as it used to me.

No life lar! Update what?

Few days ago, after having read one of Jewl’s posts, I decided to give it a try as well – goggling my name.

Guess what I saw?

haohaoting Did you mean: angelina hao hao ting –__-

And crap, it sux to the MAX when you have period pain –__-

Distractions!

Finals is just around the corner! omg

And I have not settled down for revisions.

There are just too many distractions! wtf

The main distraction is none other than Warriors Orochi – just installed this game last week and seriously, I installed it at the wrong timing –_-

r_coh1ohj7o6h84bod5ezf

Alright, I know this is gonna be out of topic but I still want to rant about it. I believe most of us know this famous stall that sells Pork Noodles which is just next to Kwai Sun Restaurant (equivalent to opposite of Foh Foh Restaurant).

I am very well aware that they sell nice food (no doubt) but I do hope that the lady (one of the owners) to be polite to her customers. They are rich and have a lot of customers. So what! At least they should be nice and polite to her customers. Though I am not one of her regular customers but because of us (the non-regular customers), she earns profit or abnormal profits.

She would not want to turn us off, would she?

Sigh!

Last week of my Degree

Banana chocolate muffin -- a surprise for Munnit :)

Lack of updates lately due to being occupied by assignments -- presentation on Wednesday and an assignment due this Friday (the last assignment of my degree year, yahoo!).

This week, I had attended almost all of my tutorials (except ICF which is on Friday). And most of them had been very meaningful:

IFM: I failed Test 2 -- expected 'cos I seriously did it very VERY badly

TL: Presentation, omg! Tortured with questions! >.<

CR: Typical CR class -_-

ICF: coming up :)

As for today (or yesterday), I went back to work. This time around, the ladyboss managed to hire two full-timers (which is a good thing for me :D).

But, still remember I told you that there is this ignorant guy who is working there as well? Well, feared of losing his job (I am just a part-timer, you see. And now the shop has another two full-timers), he did all he could but it was a tragedy and the ladyboss was really really unhappy.

Indeed, he was different today. He used to stand there and not doing much other than cleaning up and such. And guess what? I was not that worn out compared to my first day of work XD

Picture of the day: Colgate or Darley should have thought of this :)

World with assignments and finals

Finally! Not procrastinating can actually make you to do your works faster than you could ever imagine -- and time flies so fast
..in which is a good thing :)

Hopefully I know what I was doing :(

Two more assignments and finals is just around the corner.

I had checked its timetable and it is great to see the arrangement; two Finance subjects for the first week (Mon & Fri) and two Accounting subjects for the week after (Mon & Wed).

Bad news is all the subjects are 9AM papers.

Whereas the good news is, no paper on my birthday :D else I am going to be sho sad :(

Today's test

I had done very badly in my test today. It contributes only 10% to the subject's overall assessment and it is just so rare for me to feel THIS upset. Sigh.

Hope for the better for tomorrow's paper.

The unrelated discussion during the class

"Why is it so difficult to get a Prime Minister in Thailand?"

"What is the population in Thailand?"

"Cost of employing police in our country is also agency cost" -- that's one hell great example that I find so far :)

"If everyone is innocent, there will be no agency cost. So, how to make everyone innocent?"

"We have ranking for shops ie. Grade A, B, C. But why no ranking for mechanic shops? Cars are very important to us, right?" then "Our government is going to rank universities" and then "Next time, you all should come up a ranking for mechanic shops" -- all these discussions are related to 'market efficiency'

"Why are the houses valueless in America?" which leads to "Do you agree that Americans have less children and therefore, no need to buy houses. As a result, the house value drop."

Finally mid-sem exam is over! Hip hip hooray!

Test papers are not the only things that I hate about during mid-sem exam week. It is that exams do make me eat a lot!

There are more snacks that I bought from Express Carrefour

And this from the boyfriend :D

And this as well xD

Nah, just kidding. That is for her that had always been accompanying me studying in the living room regardless day or night.

And now she keeps coming back for more -_-

Two papers down

Finally, two papers down and one more to go.

IFM -- nothing much to comment about it. I had done my very best and all I can do now is wait for the result.

TL -- could have done better if I was calm enough. I was panicking the whole time. I guess it must be due to the time limit that we were given. I will be more than happy if I could score more than zero -_-

Did I mention that I just started TL revision last night? Yeah, it was a really last minute revision. Should not have done that. Procrastination, I should say. After IFM test, we had 4 hours study time break before the next paper. Cw and May came over my place to do last minute revision together! In aggregate, we laughed and crapped for 1 hour, 1 hour to eat and 1.5 hours to study (as we need to leave my house around 30 minutes before the exam starts).

Anyway, one more paper to go and it is my F R E E D O M but thanks to Hari Raya Puasa now that our mid-sem break week is being pushed 2 weeks later. So not fun - _-

Actually, this mid-sem exam week has been pretty relaxing for me :D

One paper down

One down -- CR

It sucks when you are in a situation that you know how to answer that blardy question but you do not know how to write grandmother or grandfather story about it. Thanks to the allocated mark for that question which is blardy high.

This basically sum up what I had been through today.

Three more papers to go and I will be sitting both IFM and TL papers on Wednesday, which sucks even more, and that I had not even started my revision on TL -- that sucks triple!

Friday, September 5, 2008

Mid-term exam is just next week. Instead of studying, I'm more in the mood of planning my mid-term break which is still 3 weeks away -_-

So much for my final semester. Sigh.

Oh btw, I came across this forwarded email short story with a picture attached to it and honestly, it is really interesting.

This person bought a pendrive from Beijing, China. Not able to use it, being helpless, he seek help from his friend. This is what awaits them..

When girls are out for shopping, there must be at least a guy with them

You will see the logic of it. Smug

After lunch, May drove SiMun and I to Summit. We were to hunt for May's dress. However, due to not able to find a suitable outfit for the upcoming dinner (not like we are guests wtf =_=), I was thinking of getting one as well if it is within my budget. Well, it is not my fault for being a girl. According to May (2008), "we're girls and we want to look good."

The self-declared queen who belanja-ed us at McD ONLY! Kept pushing us to re-fill drinks. And oh, I learnt the word, bopek, which can be used in the sense of '..we were there bopek bopek..'

Halfway through shopping, May popped up with an unbelievable question..

'Angel, do you know the way back from Summit?'

'Errr... *thinking hard* I think so. Try to ask SiMun later.'

After SiMun finished talking over her phone --

'SiMun, do you know the way back?'

'I think so'

Gosh! Can you believe that? We never thought of this question when we go over Summit! Surprise

By the time I found a solution--

'I think WC knows the way back. I can ask him. But my phone is out of battery.'

'My phone is out of battery too.'

'My phone is out of credit.'

And can you believe this as well? Two phones out of batteries and one phone is out of credit! Surprise

And when we got into May's car --

'Where's the parking ticket? I remember I passed either one of you.'

'No, I don't think I have it.'

'No, I don't have it. You did not pass to me.'

Surprise

After I figured out where I placed the parking ticket --

'Where do we have to pay it?'

'At the counter?'

*being unsure*

Surprise

May found a solution from the ticket and we had to get down the car again to pay at the autopay machine in the building.

'Where's the entrance?'

'Should be over there.'

*being unsure*

Laughing

But it was fun!

OMG! LATE FOR FINALS!

My eyes were opened wide when I saw it was already 8.48AM!

OH SHITTTT!! PANIC LIKE HELL!

What about it? Yawn

Because..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

..

My final exam paper for today was 9.00AM!! OMG!

Surprise

I cannot afford to fail EVEN one paper or else I am screwed!

Note: Fortunately, I am not screwed. Thanks to my boyfriend who purposely drove me to the exam hall and also, thanks to Suat May for text-ing me my seat number which saved me a lot of time.

I want to graduate this year!

Why would you want to step into the man-eat-man world so fast?

No, I don't want to. However, if I get to graduate this year, next year, I am able to undergo my longggg-awaiting internship abroad through AIESEC International Exchange Program! I can work in whichever country that I want to so long the employer would want to hire me. Batting Eyelashes

Alright, back to the topic. I know most of you do not really know me. It is easy to know me. Once you talk to me, you would get to know a lot of things about me because firstly, I am blur. Secondly, I am easily conned. I am gullible. Ask my friends. Worried They know me best! Big Grin Thirdly, my infamous habit for being hard to get up from my bed. I love to sleep too much that I tend to oversleep a lot which explains why I skipped a lot of my lectures and tutorial classes. Tongue

Sigh. Just like what happened today. I set my alarm 7.30AM before I turn in. Yeah, my alarm did ring but I re-set my alarm to 7.45AM and went back to sleep. And yeah, it did ring again. HOWEVERRR, the lazy me slacked and it turned out this way!

It was just only my second paper. I still have 2 more papers to go, Wednesday and Thursday respectively, in the morning some more!

I hope I will not OVERSLEEP again.

PLEASEEEE NO!!Not worthy

I do not want to screw up!

'Most of you did wrong in the last question'

My Driving Force to Pass My Finance Subjects

is 'Not wanting to see her anymore'

If you made a survey and asked 10 students who were under her whether they like her or not, 10 would say NO.

Also, if you asked those 10 students if they understand what's she's teaching during both lectures and tutorials, 10 would say NO.

Our textbooks are our only saviors!

Advice from one of my seniors:

'Do not fully dependent on her tips for exams because mostly, you would not find them in the exam papers!'

'Be nice to her even though you detest her or else you are blacklisted' and the possibility of you passing your Finance subjects will be nil! OMG!

One of the past incidents:

This student failed one of his Finance subjects. He believed that he would pass his paper and so he went to consult her. Her reply was: Yes, you did pass your paper. However, I think you do not understand the concept so I failed you.

OMG!

The worst thing is I am currently taking 2 Finance subjects and both also under her!

Getting fat or Slimming down during EXAM period?

Note: This post has nothing to do on how you would get fat or how you could slim down during the exam period. However, please refer to this Healthy Diet post if you are looking for one.

As quoted from Yee Yen, "..u r a hard core blogger.."

I 'was'.

Not for now.

I am currently having a Study Break. No. It is not equal to Semester Break. I wish larr..

When it is Study Break, it means that Semester Final Examination is just around the corner!

As far as I know, most students hate Exams regardless class tests, mid-terms, and whatever test the Universities could think of. Nobody would want to sit in front of their learning materials (goodbye computers) and study for the whole day (goodbye beds!)everyday!

Image15

In my case, I do not mind studying the whole day everyday though I would slack and all. Hey! My darling laptop and my comfortable bed is very tempting, alright?

What I hate most about Exams is that I will get FAT!

I tend to eat a lot during Exam period!

I would just buy snacks from the grocery stores (I could not resist it) and while I am studying, I would just grab the snacks and munch non-stop.

26052~Dancing-Snacks-Set-of-3-Posters

I believe most people would tend to slim down during Exam periods due to stress and lack of sleep.

But why is this not happening to me?

To make things worse, this semester, my exam timetable sucks. I have one paper (no, not a good news yet) next week with three papers on the second week and it is killing me!

Why oh why? Why would a person want to create the word 'Exam'? Crying

Coffee

I had been sleeping very late last week ie. 3.00am, 6.00am, 7.00am! Gosh! That's really terrible!

Thanks to the wonderful Coffee yeah, COFFEE!

I drank coffee at the wrong timing! As a result, my sleeping timing, eating timing and worst of all, I skipped most of my classes last week!

Boo hoo hoo! Crying

I'm such a bad student. Big Grin

SO, in order to turn over a new leaf, I shall sleep early. Cool

Goodnight! Star
