Our stay at BHGCC

DSCN1479

Day 1

DSCN1172

All of us gathered at TBS Ground Floor around 2:30PM as we had to depart from TBS around 3:00PM to the Home to pick the kids and interns up.

On the way to our destination, the kids were sleeping. Well, they just came back from their morning schools so, it is not surprise to see them sleeping.

DSCN1199

We reached BHGCC around 5:30PM. Checked-in and had our dinner at 7.00PM

DSCN1217

before we had our first few sessions with Vincent

and Cecilia & Ke Vin.

DSCN1251

We ended our first day around 10:00PM when the children looked worn out.

It was 08.08.08 that Friday. Therefore, most of us AIESECers went to Room 107 to have our Cup Noodles Party while watching Olympics Opening Ceremony Live on TV before all of us went to sleep around 1:00AM

Day 2

Blrrrr... The morning was really really cold. After we took our breakfast, we had our second activity which is swimming! The children love the pool so much! The water in the pool is icy cold. Fortunately Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I was not able to join them in the water. However, I was busy planning a trip for them after our lunch with Mohd. Imran; the person whom I had been dealing with during our stay.

Due to bad weather and time constraint, I was not able to bring us to Japanese Tea Village. Therefore, we headed back for our Coffee Break before we proceed to our next activity.

DSCN1347

We ended Day 2 earlier than the previous day as the children looked really worn out. Even us, the AIESECers, were knocked-out. Day 2 was really tiring but fun :D

Day 3

DSCN1409

We had the finest meal on Day 3. We had cereal, toast, porridge, salad, nasi lemak and etc. etc. for our breakfast.

Before we left the conference room, the children performed a few songs for us as their gratitude towards us. They are really sweet :D

I believe the children will never forget our stay with them in that three days because I will never forget this very first camp that I organised for them as well =)

Motivational Camp 2008 at Berjaya Hills Golf and Country Club

..was a blast!

The first ever camp that I organised and it was a success! Yay!

The children love us very much and of course, we love them as much as they love us; even though controlling them is very frustrating -- ask those Group Leaders: William, Michelle, Cecilia, Chung, Sook Theng, Ke Vin. I believe they definitely had a great experience with kids :D

If this camp is considered as one of AIESEC conferences that I had been, I would say that this is the best! Well, in terms of hospitality :P

Honestly, I care about the quality of the camp the most. Therefore, I made and prepared everything perfectly. Perfectionist? Not until that extend, I guess. Go ask those people who join the camp. I am really a good organiser and I fed them really really well. It was like all of us are in heaven!

Note that we are going for a camp, not holiday. Therefore, being in heaven was the best words to describe our camp :D Below are the reasons.

Accommodation

DSCN1169

All of the children sleep in either Golfer King or Twin Suites as shown in the picture above. They love the rooms very much. Cecilia, Michelle and Mann Dee slept with the children during the camp while the rest of us slept in the Golfer Rooms as shown below

DSCN1157

It ain't that bad though it is A LOT smaller than suites. However, we have two beds and guess what? We have two shower rooms with one toilet in each room, which is pretty cool. But the suites have bath tub which is much better -_-

Facility

DSCN1148

As picture shown above, this is our conference room where we conducted most of our activities. As you can see, we have comfortable table and chairs to sit on :D

Question: Do you have to remove all the tables and chairs to conduct some of the activities?

Answer: No.

Reason:

DSCN1149

We have another conference room which is just right next to the room shown earlier. Plus, the partition that separate those rooms will be removed for us. We do have a wide space, don't we?

DSCN1164

Next we have swimming pool for one of our activities. The pool is really nice.

DSCN1165

Plus, we have baby pool for those children who do not know how to swim :D

Food

This is the best part! Aforementioned, I fed those who went to the camp really really well. They could have gained weight already!

In other conferences, I don't remember I eat enough. In this camp, all I remember is I eat damn full.

You must be very curious and anxious to know why. The pictures below will show you the answers that you seek.

DSCN1395

Outside the restaurant and what am I pointing at?

DSCN1205

XD

DSCN1287

The restaurant where we have our breakfasts, lunches and dinners! Plus, we have waiters and waitresses to serve us as well. :D

DSCN1217

The children was so excited!

DSCN1289

Same goes to the AIESECers.

DSCN1293

Pictures below will now show one of our best breakfasts during our stay. We have a lottttttttttttt of foooooooooooooood.

DSCN1409

DSCN1410

DSCN1411

The buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners were nice. However, what make us really really full that we had never felt hungry AT ALL! Well, we have coffee breaks in between and most of us ate a lot at the buffet XD

The BEST thing is that WE DO NOT HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE CENT FOR EVERYTHING WE GOT DURING OUR STAY!

XD

Motivational Camp

This week has been a very busy week for me -- no personal time, no studies, no life, only work! This week is meant for this weekend; Motivational Camp.

A camp that is organized not for me, not for you either but for the children in project TOMORROW.

Due to this reason, I had not been updating my blog as usual and this applies for the next few days. I will be joining the camp at Berjaya Hills Golf & Country Club.

DSCN1161

I shall say that I really am proud of myself to get such a big sponsor for this camp; Berjaya Corporation Berhad & Berjaya Hills. Getting all sponsored is not an easy job. I thought once I managed to raise Berjaya Corporation Berhad as one of our sponsors, my team will do the follow-up and all but sadly no.

Alright. I understand. We are still doing projects in college level. But be careful over here, people -- if you want to talk about being professional.

When you are in the corporate world, sometimes your boss would manage to raise a partner. Then he or she would just pass the case to you to do follow-up.

"But sir/ms, since you have been dealing with the client all the while, why don't you just do the follow-up instead?"

or

"Alright, sir/ms. Right away."

Which would you choose?

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

I am damn panicking now. Once I woke up, I have been non-stop sending emails to my teammates.

Why? Because Motivational Camp is just around the corner.

I am really scared. Do you know why? Not because of myself. Not because of those teammates who are going. Also, not because of those Externals or Directors going.

It is because the Children are going! I have a very BIG responsibility regarding their safety and comfort during their stay!

Man, I hope it is going to be a great one.

How about Sunday?

Sunday was another great day. I had a great sleep at night that I woke up at eleven in the morning. I took a glance on my phone and wow, there were a number of messages that I had to reply wtf. Spoil my mood. Geez!

I had to attend story telling competition, one of the project's activities. Our host for the day was Rabbit and our judges were Issac and Cecilia. :)

And yeah, we have the winner for the day, Darshiniee!

Everything was great and the children were having fun especially during the game session. You should watch this. *winks*

*video will be uploaded soon*

After Nina pronounced the winners, we left to K.T.Z. for some desserts before we proceeded to Murni for dinner. I had Roti Hawaii for dinner.

And I never knew that this drink, Ribena plus longan plus Lemon plus Sprite?, is called 'I love you'. O.o

After dinner, we went to One Utama for a movie, The Dark Knight. The two-and-a-half-hour-movie is nice! A must to watch. *winks*

And oh, we had an international matching going on in our local chapter! No, as a matter of fact, it is MATCHED!

For me to know, for you to find out.

Thanks, baby for dropping by a short while all the way from Cheras. After the long and tiring day, the hugs are what I need the most.
